Wear Yellow Day 2026

  • Eagle County, Colorado (map)

On Thursday, September 10, join communities around the world in recognizing World Suicide Prevention Day by wearing yellow and helping us spread hope throughout Eagle County.

Yellow is more than a color—it represents hope, compassion, and the reminder that no one has to face life's challenges alone. By simply wearing yellow, you can help start conversations, reduce stigma, and show support for mental health and suicide prevention.

Honk & Wave with Us!

Start your morning by joining SpeakUp ReachOut volunteers for our annual Honk & Wave events at roundabouts across Eagle County. We'll be holding signs, waving to commuters, and filling our community with messages of hope during the morning commute.

Whether you can stay for 15 minutes or the entire event, we'd love to have you join us!

Get Your Workplace Involved

We're inviting local businesses, schools, and organizations to join the movement! Whether it's encouraging employees to wear yellow, decorating your workspace, sharing mental health resources, purchasing hats for your team, or participating in another awareness activity, every act helps create a more connected and compassionate community.

More opportunities for businesses to participate will be announced soon.

Share Your Yellow!

Help us fill Eagle County—and social media—with hope.

Take a photo of yourself, your friends, family, classmates, coworkers, or team wearing yellow and share it on Facebook or Instagram.

Don't forget to:

  • 💛 Tag @SpeakUpReachOutEC on Instagram, or tag us on FB & LinkedIn

  • 💛 Use #WearYellowForHope

We'll be sharing community photos throughout the day to celebrate everyone helping spread awareness and hope.

Every yellow shirt. Every yellow hat. Every honk, wave, conversation, and social media post helps remind someone that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Thank you for helping us create a community where it's okay to talk about mental health, ask for help, and support one another. Together, we can make hope visible.
