A Case for Support of SpeakUp ReachOut

Suicide and suicidal behaviors are a significant public health crisis in Eagle County. The region has seen increasing rates of suicide attempts and deaths, especially among vulnerable populations, including youth. To combat this alarming trend, SpeakUp ReachOut is committed and determined to expand our services and programs, aiming to reduce instances of suicide and address the mental health needs of our community.

We envision a future where mental health is valued and prioritized just as deeply as overall well-being—where individuals can speak openly about their struggles without fear of judgment, and no one feels alone in their journey.

SpeakUp ReachOut connects people to the support they need, believing in the power of connection. We listen deeply to each person’s story, knowing that sharing promotes healing. We educate our community about suicide prevention because knowledge saves lives, and we lead awareness initiatives to ensure our efforts plant a seed for others to be equipped with the tools to help those in need of support.

OUR MISSION is to prevent suicide in Eagle County through training, awareness and HOPE. We work together to connect, listen, educate, and lead so that every person impacted by suicide knows and trusts that they have a place to turn.

But we cannot do this work alone. The need has never been greater, and your support makes all the difference. This is why we’re launching a fundraising campaign to grow our impact through expanded programming, trainings, awareness, and educational events.
