Mental Health First Aid

A skills-based training course that teaches participants how to support someone with mental health or substance use challenges.

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In this course, you will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, the confidence to be their first source of support, and where to turn for additional help.

This training will be held in-person. Lunch will be provided.

Suicide prevention is for everyone. Mental Health First Aid is open to any member of the public 18 years-old and up. It is FREE to attend.

We require a minimum of 10 registrants to hold this training. SpeakUp ReachOut reserves the right to cancel the training a week in advance.
