Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

This training is made available to any hospitality employee in Eagle County. The training is free and will be held in-person at The Charter in Beaver Creek. Lunch will be provided.

Any donation made to SpeakUp ReachOut to help with the costs associated with this training (facility rental, lunches, instructor) is greatly appreciated.

Molly Booker will be the instructor for the training.

Mental Health First Aid will also be available to Eagle County hospitality workers on Tuesday, June 8th. Learn more here.

This training is made possible by The Charter, East West, and Eagle Valley Behavioral Health.
