Eliciting the Relaxation Response to Manage Stress: Wellness Workshop

Stressed out!? Want to learn how something called the relaxation response can help? This FREE workshop will teach you how to identify stress and the adverse effects of maladaptive stress responses, define the relaxation response, and develop practices to elicit the relaxation response.

You’ll also learn how stress affects the entire body, mind, and spirit as well as how the relaxation response can change the brain!

This workshop can serve as an introduction to the 9 week PART (Positivity and Relaxation Training) program for anyone interested.

Dinner will start at 5:30pm and the workshop starts at 6:00pm. Please indicate on the registration form if you have dietary restrictions or preferences.

Stressed out community members ages 15+ are welcome to attend.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Michael Brand has 20+ years experience in helping professions. Throughout his career, Michael has worked with individuals of all ages to help them achieve their personal goals for health, wellness, and resilience. He has earned a certification as a provisional Health & Wellness Coach from Intervent having completed their Health & Wellness Coach Training and Education Program. He is currently working toward Board Certification through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches. Michael has a Bachelors' degree in Psychology and currently serves as the Coordinator of Training and Development for a large Behavioral Health Organization in Southeast Georgia. Michael is a Master Applied Suicide Skills Intervention Training Trainer as well as certified Question, Persuade, Refer Gatekeeper Trainer.
