This presentation focuses on the key areas meant to support mental health and healthy lifestyle habit development, while considering the digital age kids are growing up in. A brief introduction of the current statistics related to mental health factors and screen time will be shared. One size doesn’t fit all. Part one of the presentation will discuss the recommended time on devices and the use of apps based on age, and pair that with the risk factors and protective factors that are important for parents to know to create an individualized digital access and wellness plan for their child. An overview will highlight the profile of healthy digital media use, along with yellow flags/time to make changes and red flags/time to act. Part two will focus on sharing support & educational resources.

The format will include 40-45 mins of a presentation and 15-20 minutes Q&A. If you have questions for the presenters, please include them on the registration form.
